Lithium Nevada Corporation has sued seven protesters for interfering with their contract to mine the land.
Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland (a member of the Pueblo of Laguna and the first Native American to serve as a cabinet secretary) has not accepted invitations to meet with protesters.
