Trying to keep up with the tech

Not two weeks into this new year, and already I’m struggling to keep up with the tech. First, I got warned that Chat GPT can copy and write in my voice—with no legal constraints. I did as instructed to prevent this. Given what I read in Mohar Chatterjee’s “Rise of the AI psychbots,” however, I can’t say that I feel protected.

            Then, I got notified that Gmail and Yahoo! will send my bulk emails to spam—unless I sign up for an additional mailing list service. A friend suggested that I simply move my long-time mailing list to Substack, my platform for nearly one year.

Then, I learned that Substack publishes Nazis’ newsletters. Some writers have therefore moved to other platforms.

Out of allegiance to free speech, I decided to stay with Substack.
